City Park Jazz is a “celebration of community” that began in 1986 featuring only local musicians. Sunday evenings throughout the summer see anywhere from 8,000 to 12,000 neighbors from City Park neighborhoods—and all over Colorado—enjoying the amazing talent that calls the Centennial State home, all free of charge. Colfax Marathon

Each year thousands of runners and supporters come to our City Park to kick off their challenges and participate in Denver’s only marathon.  The Colfax Marathon celebrated its 20th Year in 2026 and the events are more popular than ever. City Park provides the perfect spot to check in and send off the runners on their miles ahead.  Learn more at their main website. Registration for 2027 is just around the corner.

City Park Day

Each Friday after Memorial Day, the community gathers at the City Park Pavilion to celebrate our City Park and kick off the summer months ahead.  Ice cream, music from the Denver Municipal Band, Victorian Costumes, and more.  Community groups, including City Park Alliance, are included to allow attendtees to learn more about their support and activities.  We look forward to seeing you in 2027.
