Ribbon Cutting Ceremony 2023

Saturday October 21, 2023, at 1pm marked the official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to unveil the two new park benches installed earlier this year in City Park. City Park Alliance worked diligently with Denver Parks and Recreation and Denver Park Trust to complete this project. The benches are located on opposing sides along the perimeter of the updated City Park playground (formerly The Dustin Redd Playground). City Park Alliance’s hope is these benches will provide families and other parkgoers with more available seating spaces to enjoy the park and be able to watch over the children at play on the playground. The beautiful sunny day gave CPA and their associates an opportunity to interact with and include many families and their children in the proceedings who were enjoying themselves at the playground that day. Short speeches were made, information about CPA was handed out, and balloons and stickers were distributed to every child who wanted them. Overall, the ceremony was short but sweet, informative, and highly inclusive of the local community. Thank you to all who assisted and participated in the process which made it possible to have such a successful event! (Photo credit: Karen Gerwitz)
