The City Park Ice Cream Social (formerly known as the “County Fair at City Park and District 8 Ice Cream Social” is an annual event provided by the City Park Alliance and City Council District 8.  Come for free ice cream and stay for a concert with the Denver Municipal Band.  The City Park Ice Cream Social is an event specifically for people to celebrate the cultural and historical gem that is City Park.

The 2014 Ice Cream Social will take place on  at the City Park Pavillion and Bandshell and features:

- Free ice cream provided by Boulder Ice Cream
- The Denver Municipal Band playing a concert to the Electric Fountain show
- Face painting, entertainers, and historical costumes.

We’ll start serving ice cream right at 6pm.  The Denver Municipal Jazz Band takes the stage at 6:30 followed by the larger Denver Municipal Band at 7:45pm.

Random prizes will be provided to those who dress in historical costume.

Please note that there will not be food vendors at the City Park Ice Cream Social, so if you’re in the mood for something other than ice cream and ‘fixins, please bring a picnic lunch or grab something to go from one of the many fabulous restaurants surrounding the park.
