The Department of Parks and Rec is undertaking a circulation study to better understand how park users enter and exit the park, and what areas of the park are most active during which times of the day. Look for City Park Alliance volunteers throughout the park to participate in the coming weeks, and check www.cityparkalliance.org often for updates and information.

We just tried to walk the Mile High Loop in City Park with our dogs. None of it has been marked and we went the wrong way quite a few times. I inquired before about the markings and was told it would be obvious which way to go. That is WRONG! Many cross trails cross the path and it is not clear which way to go.
I came home and viewed the Channel 4 video on the opening of the loop and it was stated numerous times in the video and on the accompanied article that there would be markings for 5280 and for the historic sites along the way. None of that has been done.
After all the money and time that was spent on this project, I would think you would want it done right. I am proud of the city and the workers who created the path, but it would be nice to know when you are truly on the loop. As it stands, it’s a wonderful trail and easy on the feet, but it is not marked and I would like to know exactly where the loop exists.
Finally, I also tried to find a map of the loop to see if it would help. I have an old one from Life on Capitol Hill, but I don’t think it is correct. We ended up on Colorado Blvd. and this map does not show it. It would be nice for the Alliance to offer a map to be printed and enlarged so people could use it.
Thanks
