The Parks Department Arbor Day planting volunteer slots are now full, but you can still participate on April 25th when City Park neighbors, coordinated by Montview Presbyterian Church, plant trees around the Park.
The planting will start at 8:30 am on Saturday morning – April 25th- Arbor Day.
Organizer, Emily Henderson with Montview Presbyterian anticipates 18 trees to be planted along Colorado Blvd and 23rd in the right of way areas. Her e-mail is in the cc section.
This is a city project and they will have the trees and give instruction on how to plant. The areas will be marked and all areas will be checked in advance for any utility lines.
At least 10-15 people are needed for digging and planting. Shovels are appreciated. WEAR BRIGHT CLOTHING (and 10 orange safety vests will be available)
